Chilly Chamois Coats

These are Chamois Cool Coats made with high grade synthetic PVA chamois.

Blue Quilted material is a unique fabric that slowly releases water through evaporation. To activate, simply submerge the item in water for 1-2 minutes. Gently squeeze out any excess water and the garment is ready to wear. The fabric allows garments to have a uniform cooling effect while staying light weight and easy to use. The inner nylon is a water resistant fabric that keeps the body dry – very limited sizes left.

These work by the evaporation system – cool against the body, it draws the heat away from the dog and evaporates as steam into the atmosphere. As it is reliant on the coat being wet this is not a product you can leave on the dog all day and go to work, it will need “refreshing” during the day – how often will depend on the temperature you are in. Normally every 3-4 hours is sufficient, on super humid / hot days I would say every 2-3 hours.

These coats dramatically cool down dogs and leaves them comfortable even on the hottest of days. They work by wetting the coat, submerging them is the fastest, you can give them a very light wring out to stop drips or just put it on straight. They can be refridgerated wet for an even cooler coat. Warning – other people’s coats that are covered in fabric as well as the chamois slow down the evaporation process and therefore CANNOT cool your dog down fast like these do, yes they stay wet longer but they heat up and do not cool the dog effectively.

Velcro fronts and Velcro / elastic waist bands ensure a comfortable adjustable fit.
